Bristol Palin is offering social media followers a health update after she’s experienced facial paralysis for nearly a month.
“We’re on day 23 of this, which is absolutely insane,” Palin, 34, shared in an Instagram Stories post on Wednesday, February 12. “I can’t move the left side of my face at all. It’s really hard to blink, I can’t blow out a candle.”
Palin appeared to be in high spirits as she laughed while showing followers how difficult it was for her to blow air out of her mouth.
“I look crazy,” she added. “Cannot believe it’s been over three weeks. I’ve been doing all the things. I’ve been doing acupuncture, lymphatic massage, oxygen chamber treatment, red light therapy, cutting out almost all of the processed foods, eliminating most caffeine — I’ll still have a cup of coffee in the morning.”
Palin noted that she’s “trying to clean up everything” in order to stay healthy.

Late last month, Palin took to Instagram Stories and revealed that she was experiencing a case of Bell’s palsy — a temporary condition that causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of the face, per the Mayo Clinic.
“I woke up nine days ago with a weird little sensation in my face,” she said in the January 30 Instagram Story. “My mouth was pulling this way and it just felt a little off. So, I went and looked in the mirror. I’m like, ‘Wow, this is looking a little weird.’”
As the day progressed, her face continued to get “numb and just paralyzed.”
She’s since continued to offer health updates.
“Since it was set off by stress, I’ve been trying to eliminate anything that I can control, that serves no purpose. That is just stressing me out,” she said in a separate Instagram Story on Wednesday. “Trying my hardest to eliminate all that so I am lighter and feel better and am not causing this physical reaction. I am sleeping pretty sound, sticking to a routine, just trying my best to get this healed.”

Palin confirmed that “everything is fine” other than it looking like she has “a fishhook” stuck in her mouth.
“The only reason I wanted to post about it was so that when people saw me in person, they didn’t think that something crazy had happened,” she concluded. “I could control, at least, that narrative. Everything is fine. I’m praying for some breakthroughs.”
Weeks prior, Palin explained to her Instagram followers that she looks “pretty normal” if she keeps her mouth shut amid the paralysis.
“Maybe it’s a sign,” she quipped at the time.
