
One person is dead after a Wednesday morning house fire in East Millinocket.
The fire broke out about 9:12 a.m. at the house on High Street, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
One person, whose identity hasn’t been released, was found dead.
Investigators were expected to remain at the scene throughout the day Wednesday.
The Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta will make a positive identification.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No additional information was immediately available.
