I have been very alarmed by the way Elon Musk is operating in seeking to reduce the cost of the federal government. After reading the Bangor Daily News Feb. 8-9 editorial, I am even more alarmed.
I was shocked to read that “Musk’s companies have secured more than $20 billion in government contracts.” This alone should disqualify him from being in a position of government cost cutting. Surely, this is a conflict of interest.
Recently posted on Musk’s website X was a statement by retired Gen. Mike Flynn saying that the Lutheran faith was a money laundering operation. Without citing any evidence of the mishandling of federal funds, Flynn accused Lutheran Social Services of a serious crime.
Who will investigate and determine whether there are reasons to cut Musk’s $20 billion in government contracts?
