Prince Harry can count on the support of his wife Meghan Markle for the 2025 Invictus Games.

Us Weekly has learned the Duchess of Sussex, 43, is confirmed to attend some of the events in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, from Saturday, February 8, until Sunday, February 16.

Markle will be on hand to support her husband’s work, while also uplifting the competitors and their stories.

The competition for injured, wounded or sick servicemen and women was founded by Harry, 40, in 2014 and was inspired by his decade-long experience in the armed forces.

“It is very important to him as a soldier, it’s very important to him as a person,” Dominic Reid, CEO of the Invictus Games Foundation, said in an interview with People on Wednesday, February 5. “We all get something from it for our own reasons, but he has created extraordinary opportunities to an extraordinary number of people. They feel seen and heard and cared about.”

Markle’s attendance also squashes recent speculation of a “professional separation” between the pair. Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to stand together in support of the causes that matter most to them.

In May 2024, the couple enjoyed their first official tour in Nigeria to announce new partnerships with the Archewell Foundation and other organizations. Three months later, the duo traveled to Colombia and participated in events against discrimination and cyber-harassment.

Throughout 2024, Harry — who shares Prince Archie Harrison, 5, and Princess Lilibet “Lili” Diana, 3, with Markle — celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first Invictus Games.

During one event in London, the Spare author recalled the early days of creating the sporting competition for wounded veterans.

“Sport was the magic that I witnessed,” Harry said after originally attending the Department of Defense’s Warrior Games. “Having just come back from Afghanistan myself, seeing the wounded, injured and sick and seeing the effect this was having on all the families, and just the weight — the load on defense and on the individuals and on the rehabilitation programs. There just wasn’t enough being done.”

Harry ultimately teamed up with entrepreneur Sir Keith Mills to create something “bigger and better.”

“I’ve had kids come up, hug my leg and thank me — thank us at the foundation for bringing Daddy back, for helping Mommy out,” Harry said about the Invictus Foundation’s impact on families. “It’s a real thing.”
