Joe Biden has signed with Los Angeles talent agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), home to stars such as Brad Pitt, Ariana Grande and more.

It follows the former US president’s departure from the White House about two weeks ago.

He was previously represented by CAA from 2017 to 2020, during Donald Trump’s first stint as president and following Mr Biden’s time as vice president.

During this period he published his memoir Promise Me, Dad: A Year Of Hope, Hardship And Purpose.

CAA announced the news on social media, with Richard Lovett, its co-chairman, saying: “President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs.

“His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility.

“We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.”

The 82-year-old has so far not announced what his plans after office are and whether that will involve writing another book, or any other project.

CAA also has links to Barack and Michelle Obama. The pair’s production company Higher Ground is signed to the agency.

In his farewell speech addressing supporters and staff, Mr Biden said: “We’re leaving office, but we’re not leaving the fight.”

Mr Biden’s time as president ended unceremoniously after his attempt to run for a second term was curtailed by his own party.

Following a series of public appearances that raised questions over his ability to work as president for four more years, he faced internal pressure to step aside.

Despite initially resisting he eventually did give way and his vice president Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee.

She slumped to a punishing election defeat to Donald Trump in November.
