Husson University will launch two new bachelor’s of science degrees this fall.
The Bangor-based university will begin offering a degree in wildlife biology and conservation, both on campus and online, as well as an online degree in professional health sciences.
Both will be available to students beginning in the fall semester, Husson announced Monday.
“At Husson, we’re keeping our finger on the pulse of growing national needs and demonstrated market interest to ensure that our degree offerings are reflective of what students want right now,” Husson University President Lynne Coy-Ogan said in a statement. “I’m excited for the launch of these new degree programs and confident in the future of our university.”
Husson said that the wildlife biology degree will prepare students for careers in managing and conserving wildlife and habitats, as well as educating the public. The professional health sciences degree will prepare students for further study to enter health fields, including occupational and physical therapy.
In addition to the new degrees, two online programs — a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and health, and a certificate in animal-assisted therapy — will be available on campus, Husson said.
