WINTER HARBOR — Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Frazell, MBA, CFRE as development director. In her position, Frazell will lead a comprehensive fundraising program in support of science, education, and stewardship for parks, people, and the planet.
“We are thrilled to have Lisa join the Schoodic Institute team and help us accelerate the response to climate change impacts and strengthen our conservation science and engagement opportunities,” said Nick Fisichelli, president and CEO with Schoodic Institute.
Before joining Schoodic Institute, Frazell was the executive director of development at Husson University. She is an accomplished fundraising professional with over a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership. Under her guidance, Husson saw significant growth in annual giving due to her ability to manage high-performing teams, drive strategic initiatives, and foster donor engagement. Her ability to cultivate long-lasting relationships with partners illustrates her commitment to the mission-driven organizations she joins. It is this dedication that has allowed her to deliver lasting impact.
“I’m humbled to join Schoodic Institute and contribute to its vital conservation work,” says Frazell. “I look forward to raising awareness and resources to create a vibrant future for Acadia and the next generation of conservation champions.”
She is looking forward to helping the organization build awareness and engagement across the region and working with the entire team to build new support for the work that involves people of all ages in science. “I was drawn to the mission of the Institute and I’ve been impressed with their scientific impact locally, regionally, and nationally, and I am excited to help further that goal.”
