A man was arrested Wednesday night after a robbery at the Circle K near Interstate 95 on Broadway.
Scott Dorn, 23, of Lincoln was charged with robbery and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
Dorn allegedly robbed the Circle K at 489 Broadway, McAmbley said Thursday morning.
He allegedly fled in a vehicle, and a Bangor police officer spotted one matching its description on Griffin Road. When officers stopped the vehicle, Dorn was wearing clothes matching the description of the robber, according to McAmbley.
He is being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
It’s not yet clear whether Dorn is connected to a string of armed robberies reported across the Queen City in recent days.
On Jan. 13, a man brandishing a knife robbed a convenience store at the intersection of Broadway and Griffin Road. Then, on Sunday, a man matching that robber’s description robbed the Big Apple on State Street and 30 minutes later robbed the same store at the intersection of Broadway and Griffin Road.
The investigation is ongoing.
