A man charged with murdering a Corinth man appeared in court Monday to face a charge of aggravated forgery.
Kenneth Creamer, 36, of Exeter appeared in person Monday morning in the Penobscot County Judicial Center in Bangor. Creamer had an arraignment for aggravated forgery, a Class B felony. He was charged with murder in October.
He did not enter a plea during the hearing, which is standard procedure in felony cases. The Class B charge will be presented to a grand jury that will decide whether to indict him.
There was no additional information about the alleged forgery immediately available or if it was connected to his murder charge.
Creamer is accused of killing Dylan Caruso, 27, of Corinth, who was last seen Sept. 30, 2024, on lower Ohio Street in Bangor. Caruso’s body was found in a wooded area in Exeter on Oct. 23, 2024.
Three men are accused of hindering apprehension or prosecution, a felony, in connection to Caruso’s killing. Dylan Boyce, 31, of Exeter; Dylan Belanger, 31, of Corinth; and Holden Melvin, 32, of Charleston had their first appearance Friday for the same charge. Neither man entered a plea.
They were each granted bail, but Belanger and Melvin have not posted it and remain at the Penobscot County Jail.
Creamer was previously denied bail in the murder case. Upcoming scheduling and court deadlines for that case were set Monday.
