SOUTH PORTLAND — Highlighting the importance and value of starting off the new year on a positive note beyond financial services, Town & Country Federal Credit Union announced a contribution to ‘feed’ the spirit of positivity. The credit union is making a contribution to Preble Street Food Security Hub, a contribution that will provide funding for 7,500 meals covering New Year’s Day and the remainder of the holiday week to those served by Preble Street.
Melanie McKean, development director at Preble Street, said the contribution is such a wonderful way to celebrate the start of a new year and to highlight the opportunity for new hope and new beginnings. “This is such a generous donation that will help Preble Street Food Security Hub serve those in need on New Year’s Day and the first few days of 2025. We are grateful to have good friends like Town & Country to help us provide over 1,000,000 meals each year!”
