A pedestrian was seriously injured Monday night when a car hit them on Broadway in Bangor.
The pedestrian, whose identity wasn’t released, was crossing Broadway near Center Street and Earle Avenue about 8 p.m. when a northbound car hit them, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
McAmbley said Tuesday morning that the light was green for northbound traffic, and that the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk, was wearing dark clothing and was wearing headphones at the time.
The pedestrian was seriously injured, but those injuries aren’t considered life-threatening, according to McAmbley.
The driver is cooperating with police.
The crash remains under investigation.
