One person is dead after a shooting in the Penobscot County town of Lincoln on Wednesday.
At about 9:25 a.m, Lincoln police went to a house at 614 Mohawk Road after receiving a report of a shooting, Maine State Police said in a news release.
At the house, the officers found one deceased person. The body of the person, who police have not identified, was brought to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit North is investigating. Police believe it was an isolated incident with no ongoing public safety concerns.
