Man V Food presenter Adam Richman says he and his crew have had their van “completely cleaned out” at a motorway service station in London.

The 50-year-old American star, who is in the UK filming season two of Adam Richman Eats Britain, wrote on X that he stopped with production staff in Barnet for “exactly four and a half minutes”, and when they returned to their van all their possessions had been taken.

He said the theft had taken place at Welcome Break in Barnet, north London.

Richman wrote: “All of the filming equipment is gone. Both of my suitcases with all of my possessions are gone.

“(My) backpack with my laptop and all of my medications are gone. And to make matters worse, because I have trackers on some of my possessions, and because of my laptop, I can see where these things are.”

He later shared a screen grab of a map of Cricklewood Broadway, writing: “My MacBook, is right here. It also happens to be accompanied by all the medications I take, and the two most valuable possessions I have with me, the last birthday card I ever got from my father and a book that my mother gave me.”

He continued to share the live locations of some of his possessions, including his personalised suitcase and laptop.

Richman says he was returning from Birmingham, when the incident happened at London Gateway Services on the M1.

He also offered a reward for anyone who assisted in their safe return.

Richman later changed position, making it clear he didn’t want anyone to intervene on his behalf.

Thanking people for their “outpouring of support,” he added: “Everyone! Please do not attempt to personally intervene or find my items yourselves. I don’t want any harm to come to anyone!”

He said the Met Police had asked him to stop updating the locations of the items on social media, and had done so accordingly.

A Met Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 2.49pm on Wednesday, October 23 following reports of a theft from a van at London Gateway Services on the M1.

“Items including cameras and laptops were stolen. Officers are continuing inquiries. No arrests have been made at this stage.”
