Save A Life Recovery Resource Center to host 4th annual Recovery Walk Block Party community event to celebrate recovery and support local resources

LINCOLN — Save A Life Recovery Resource Center is excited to announce the 4th annual Recovery Walk Block Party, happening on Friday, Sept. 20 from 5-7 p.m. This annual event brings the community together to celebrate recovery, highlight local resources, and provide a family-friendly atmosphere filled with music, food, and activities for all ages.

The Recovery Walk Block Party aims to foster a sense of hope and support within the rural community, showcasing the resilience and strength of those on their recovery journey. This year’s event will feature a wide range of local organizations sharing vital recovery resources and information. Attendees will also enjoy live music, food, and engaging activities, making it an event for the whole family to enjoy.

  • Date: Friday, Sept. 20
  • Time: 5- 7 p.m.
  • Location: Save A Life Recovery Resource Center
  • Activities: Live music, food, family-friendly games, and more
  • Participating organizations: A variety of local organizations offering recovery resources and support including Cold Stream Cruzers, Possibilities, Wabanaki Alliance, Machias Savings Bank, Lincoln Police Dept, Bangor Public Health, Liberty Bay Recovery Center, Burlington Food Pantry, HEAL, True Connections, Lincoln Center Church of God, Select Designs, MERAP, and many more.

“The Recovery Walk Block Party is more than just a celebration — it’s an opportunity for our community to come together, support one another, and raise awareness about the resources available for those in recovery,” said Kelly Cookson, director at Save A Life Recovery Resource Center. “We are grateful for the collaboration of so many local organizations and the enthusiasm of our community as we continue to promote recovery and healing.”

All are welcome to attend this free event and show support for those in recovery, as well as to learn more about the resources available in the community. Whether you’re directly involved in recovery or simply want to support friends and neighbors, the 4th annual Recovery Walk Block Party offers something for everyone.
