Katie Price’s TikTok income to be suspended – as she fails to attend latest bankruptcy hearing

Katie Price’s TikTok income is to be suspended, amid ongoing measures to resolve a bankruptcy case against her, a court has ruled.

The 46-year-old glamour model – who was introduced using her legal name Katerina Price – did not attend the virtual hearing despite being served notice at her given addresses.

Several hours before the hearing, Price posted on TikTok to say she would be live on the platform later that evening.

Proceedings were overseen by Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton, with lawyer Darragh Connell representing the trustees, and lawyer Lauren Kreamer representing TikTok.

Mr Connell said while there had been “some progress made” in the case, he was concerned payments to Price via the social media site had been made without the knowledge of the trustees.

He told the court that payments totalling £95,000 had been paid by TikTok to Price between March and May this year.

He also said there had been some discussion as to whether TikTok should divert 100% of Price’s earnings via the site to the bankruptcy trustees.

He requested that TikTok suspend payments to Price until the details of the bankruptcy payments were resolved.

Ms Kreamer told the court TikTok “wished to comply” with the ruling, and was “not being obstructive or difficult”.

However, she said there would be some delay while TikTok investigated whether the company algorithm was able to divert part or all of a content creator’s payment.

Concluding the hearing, Judge Burton confirmed that the court ruled in favour of a stay of payments to Price, ahead of an agreed percentage of Price’s TikTok earnings being diverted to trustees. She said this would be subject to the company confirming this was achievable.

Price’s next bankruptcy hearing is scheduled to take place at the Rolls Building on Tuesday 27 August. She is currently due to attend in person but may apply to appear remotely.

At the end of July, Price was arrested at Heathrow Airport over a missed bankruptcy hearing.

She had been returning from Turkey where she had been undergoing cosmetic surgery.

She appeared in court the following week where she was told by Judge Burton that she must attend future court hearings “no ifs, no buts, no holidays”.

Price was declared bankrupt in March due to an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.

Sky News has approached Price for comment.
