BANGOR — On Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m. the Bangor Band will continue its 165th Concert Season with a free concert at the Maine Savings Amphitheater, Railroad Street.
This concert is the last in the summer series of family friendly, free programs in and around Bangor. The Band will perform concert band favorites, new compositions, and joyous pieces that children young and old will know and love. The summer concert season has showcased the versatile talent of New England’s oldest continuously performing community band in a relaxed environment.
Conducted by Associate Conductor Scott Burditt and conductor Emeritus Curvin “Chip” Farnham, the band will perform a mix of marches, folk songs, and popular music that will have your toes tapping! Bring the neighbors and the kids and enjoy a wonderful summer evening.
In the event of rain the concert will be performed at Peakes Auditorium at Bangor High School, at the same time and date.
