TD Bank renews commitment to Maine’s iconic road race and beneficiary program
CAPE ELIZABETH — Preble Street Teen Services has met its fundraising goal as the beneficiary of the 2024 TD Beach to Beacon 10K and expects to exceed once all pledges come in to the organization. Preble Street Teen Services received $30,000 from TD as well as more than $120,000 from the generous race community to support its vital programs for vulnerable youth.
Based in Portland, Preble Street Teen Services is a hub of services for homeless and runaway youth. As the core component of Preble Street Teen Services, the Teen Center helps to meet immediate needs — providing warmth and safety, nutritious meals, clothing and crisis intervention — while building positive relationships with young people, enhancing their self-esteem and offering them the opportunity to develop life skills that promote stability and independence.

This year’s running of Maine’s largest road race included more than 6,000 runners from around the world, 800 volunteers and hundreds of spectators along the scenic course that ends at the Portland Headlight.
Gabresilase Tadese Worku of Ethiopia (28:12) and Faith Chepkoech of Nairobi (32:05) are the winners of this year’s running of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K. For more results, please click here.
