Donald Trump has proclaimed that if he is elected, “Christians” won’t have to vote ever again. What on earth is he talking about? His staffers and close associates don’t have a coherent explanation.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t find voting to be such a burden that I would be relieved if someone took it away from me. As a woman and a citizen, I rather enjoy voting. My grandparents worked hard to assure that I have that right. I have to do some homework to stay informed, but it’s a small price to pay for living in a country where I have a say in its future.
If you read Project 2025, written mostly by Trump associates, you might reasonably come to the conclusion that Trump means to be a dictator, and not only on day one, either. I don’t think that’s the ambition of a patriotic American who believes in this country and took an oath to support the Constitution.
As former President George W. Bush tried to say, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice … you can’t get fooled again.” Let’s not be foolish enough to vote for Mr. Trump and the Project 2025 agenda.
