The Bangor Police Department made an arrest on Wednesday after responding to a call that a woman had been injured on Union Street.
When police arrived they found a woman bleeding from an arm injury who reported that she had been assaulted, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley of the Bangor Police Department.
Rob Gray, 52, who is suspected of injuring the women, was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault and violation of release conditions. Gray was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
The woman who was injured was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for her wound. She is expected to recover from the injury, according to McAmbley.
