A driver and passenger were killed Thursday morning when two cars collided head-on in the Piscataquis County town of Sebec.
Police received the report at about 7 a.m. of a crash on Milo Road, the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook.
At the scene, emergency personnel learned that two cars had hit head-on and three people had been in the vehicles. The driver and passenger in one of the vehicles died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was brought to a hospital with injuries that weren’t life threatening, according to the sheriff’s office.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the sheriff’s office said road conditions were a contributing factor in the crash.
Police have not released the names of the victims.
The town of Sebec is northeast of Dover-Foxcroft.
