Thiago Silva is trying to convince a former teammate of his to join Chelsea, according to reports.
Chelsea are in need of defensive reinforcements this summer after Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen departed the club on free transfers.
The main name linked with a Stamford Bridge switch this summer has, much like 2021, been Sevilla’s Jules Kounde. Elsewhere, Inter Milan’s Stefan de Vrij has been tipped for a Stamford Bridge switch.
Now though, another names has been linked with the west Londoners. According to France Football, Chelsea are interested in PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe. Thomas Tuchel is said to be a big fan of the Frenchman and Thiago Silva, who played alongside Kimpembe at PSG, has been sending him text messages to sell the Chelsea project to him.

No potential transfer fee is mentioned, but Thomas Tuchel is said to have around £200m available to him this summer, meaning money should not be an issue.
Kimpembe, now 26, is a product of PSG’s youth system, having only ever lined out in the colours of the French champions.
All told, Kimpembe has featured on 226 occasions for PSG, playing key roles in their countless domestic trophies.
He is under contract at the Parc des Princes until 2024.
