After working with Antonio Cipriano on Pretty Little Liars, Chandler Kinney is weighing in on the chances of her playing a key role on his new show, Off Campus.
“I would be so game. Oh, my goodness, are you kidding? That would be such a joy,” Kinney, 25, gushed exclusively to Us Weekly while promoting her partnership as hello’s Chief Aura Officer.
Kinney specifically addressed Us‘ hope to have her play Tucker’s (Jalen Thomas Brooks) future love interest, Sabrina, saying, “I know the whole cast is so fun and I’ve heard so many stories about just the blast that they’re having over there. I would love to join in on that. Let’s put it out into the ether.”
Kinney added: “Let the people start talking about it. Jalen is awesome and he’s such a sweetheart. I’ve known him for a while now, and he’s such a talent, too. People really loved his work on The Pitt, and now seeing him in Off Campus, they just get to love him even more.”

The actress said it would be “a dream” to potentially appear on Off Campus after watching a few episodes.
“The only reason why I’m a little slow [in catching up on season 1] is because [my Elle costar] Lexi [Minetree] and I are currently watching it together. We are in production and we work really long days, so it’s hard to find time to squeeze it in,” Kinney explained to Us. “We made a pact that we’re not allowed to watch it without the other, so that’s why I haven’t binged the entire thing in one sitting yet. But I’m hooked.”
Kinney was thrilled for Cipriano’s success on the show as Logan, adding, “I’ve been a big fan of his for years and years. I’m so overjoyed that the world is finally getting on the Antonio train because he’s just such a light of a human — and I’m also good friends with Jalen as well, who’s incredible on the show. They actually just got back to Vancouver for their second season, and so, I think we’re going to get a little Elle and Off Campus picnic going soon.”
Before joining Prime Video’s upcoming show Elle, Kinney rose to stardom as Tabby on the Pretty Little Liars revival and Willa in Disney’s Zombies franchise. Kinney will now be playing Kimberly in the prequel to Legally Blonde, which explores Elle Woods’ teenage years in the 1990s as a high school student in Seattle.

“This series was made with so much love. This also comes from the mind of Reese Witherspoon, [who plays Elle in the original films]. If that’s not a stamp of approval, I don’t know what is,” Kinney told Us. “She is so deeply involved in the creation of this show and she is either with us or her presence is felt from afar. But she’s been a part of this whole process from top to bottom. She is so protective over the character because this Legally Blonde world has stood the test of time.”
Kinney had a front row seat to Witherspoon’s devotion to the project.
“It is so untouchable and iconic that she definitely wanted to make sure that this is in line with the movie. It totally is visually and Lexi — who has become one of my dearest best friends — is such a perfect Elle Woods,” she continued. “When you tune into the movies, you get the laughs, you get the heartfelt moments and you’ll get all of that in the show and more.”

She added: “With this medium of TV, you’re able to kind of dive deeper into all of these characters and into the world. It’s just an awesome opportunity to celebrate the Legally Blonde universe and expand. It’s always a fun opportunity to dive deeper into the world.”
Kinney is also booked and busy as hello’s Chief Aura Officer. Her new role allows her to help bring the brand’s positive and fun spirit to life while helping spotlight how brushing your teeth can feel more personal and expressive.
“I have been a big fan of Hello. I am also a big fan of dental hygiene, so I think what they do is help bring some yay into the everyday. They make our self routine more fun and more bright,” she shared. “It’s something that we do every day and it’s a great way to kick start the day on a good note with good energy.”
Kinney pointed to Hello’s overall mission, adding, “It makes me feel like I have my best smile, and so, I am very excited to be helping people bring more aura into their day. We have a lot of really fun social content coming out together and BTS content.”
While Kinney is a fan of the entire brand, her go-to product is the Whipped Mellow Mint Dream toothpaste. “It’s like a party in my mouth,” she teased.
