Having lived in Maine all my life, it has always been obvious to me that, all too often, some politicians in both Augusta and Washington, D.C., could truthfully care less about their impact on our sparse Northern Maine population. Frankly, they seem to care more about their own hides and positions in life than ours.
However, for 50 years, I have had the pleasure of knowing one person who has served Maine’s hard-working people with distinction, integrity, honesty and good conscience. Matthew Dunlap, currently seeking a seat in Congress from Maine’s 2nd District, is the man I see demonstrating every last one of those attributes and more.
No matter what position he served in, amongst many, the fact is that he is grounded in Maine and absolutely dedicated to our entire population. Never in any regard did he ever abandon us in order to serve his own interests. You may ask why and the answer to me is simply that our interests are his very own interests.
I believe Matthew Dunlap is 100% a true advocate for us and will serve us well in Congress. I heartily and proudly endorse him and his wisdom for that task. That’s why I’m voting for Matt on June 9 and encourage you to do the same.
