Former Bachelor Clayton Echard’s viral dancing Cameos bring him happiness — and rack up money.
“I have a revenue stream that pays more than a full-time job. It’s Cameos,” Echard, 33, said on the Tuesday, May 5, episode of the “She’s All Bach” podcast. “I did 1,300 Cameos in the last year. So you can do the math on that. Multiply that by $75 a pop, you can see how much money I made from it. It’s a lot of money.”
Host Stefanie Parker proceeded to pull out her calculator, determining that Echard made more than $97,000 from the videos — to which the former Bachelor replied, “Yeah, it’s good money.”
Echard noted that his nearly six-figure income from Cameos is “good money for dancing,” pointing to the fact that he has the platform because of his stint on the Bachelor franchise.

“And again, why do I have Cameos? Because I was the Bachelor,” he explained. “So, like, it brings opportunities. So, yes, I appreciate what I have gotten from the show. And again, that allows me to do other things. That allows me to chase my passions or dance more. Again, I’m making good money so I can go dance more.”
He continued, “People are like, ‘All he does is dance all day. What’s his real job?’ I’m like, ‘If you guys only knew what I’m bringing in.’ Like, I’m chilling. If this is my life, that’s a great life. [They’re like], ‘Oh, he’s not making an impact, he’s just dancing.’ [I’m like,] ‘OK. If I’m getting paid to dance, you think I give a s***?’ OK, I’m not a rocket scientist. Like, whatever.”
Echard entered the Bachelor Nation spotlight as a contestant on Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette in 2021. After not finding love with Young, Echard was named the lead of The Bachelor season 26. The series, which premiered in 2022, saw him being rejected by finalist Susie Evans — but it was revealed on the live After the Final Rose special that the pair reconciled. Echard and Evans, however, split for good in 2022.
Despite his ups and downs with the series, Echard shared on Tuesday that he would be “open” to returning as the next lead of The Bachelor season 30. (ABC renewed the series in June 2025.)

“But again, at this point, it’s going to come down to — I don’t need the fame. I don’t care to be relevant again. If I am relevant and I can leverage it, yes,” he said. “But I’d make it really easy on the producers. I’d say, ‘You want to bring me on? That money is going to be a lot more than it was the first time around. So make it worth my while.’”
Echard shared that he would ask to be paid “the amount that I want,” and would have specific criteria for the contestants selected to be a part of his season.
“I’d say, ‘Hey, these are the women I’m into. I need you to actually pick women I’d be into,’” he said. “Not to say the girls on the first season I wasn’t. But I didn’t really know what I liked at that point in my life. I have a pretty good idea what I want now.”
He continued, “I want to make sure people coming on the show are people I’d actually be interested in because I would settle down for the right person. I’m not just going to be like, ‘Oh, I’m going to be single again.’ I don’t care to be single. But I’m like, ‘Let’s make this work. You guys want a love story? I’ll give you one.’ I tried season 1. I really tried. I was trying hard to give a love story. I really was ready to settle down, but it wasn’t in the cards for me. Would I do it? Sure, under the right conditions.”
