Shannon Elizabeth is ready for her second act after recently filing for divorce from Simon Borchert and joining OnlyFans.
“I envision being very busy. I envision this being, like, one of my best chapters,” Elizabeth, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, May 4, of her life post-split. “I want to be busy with projects. I want to be busy with my charity. I want everything to just grow and be successful.”
The American Pie star noted she’s “happiest when I’m busy,” so she doesn’t plan to slow down after quietly separating from Borchert in fall 2025.

“I don’t like sitting around and doing nothing. I feel like I’m just under-achieving. I have to do stuff, and I’m working all the time,” Elizabeth explained, pointing to her work with her Shannon Elizabeth Foundation as one of the ventures she wants to continue growing.
The actress, who launched her OnlyFans page in April, pointed out that “we only have so long on this planet,” so she wants to “make the most of every moment.”
“I really feel the older we get, the faster it goes,” Elizabeth told Us. “And for me, I can’t even believe how much time has passed, because I feel like it was just yesterday [I was starting my career]. I don’t feel any different. It doesn’t feel like time has passed.”
Shannon Elizabeth Filed for Divorce Days Before Joining OnlyFans
Elizabeth’s new era has made headlines in recent weeks after she announced her decision to create an OnlyFans page on the platform know for its adult-only content.
Shortly after she revealed her next career move, news broke on April 16 that Elizabeth and Borchert had split after four years of marriage.
“I’ve been separated since September of last year, and this has been a thoughtful, ongoing process-not something that happened in the past few days,” Elizabeth told Us in a statement at the time, noting that the exes got married in 2021 after meeting in 2015. “The meaningful pieces are already behind me, and only the formalities remain.”

She added, “This is a new chapter for me, and it’s one I’m genuinely excited about. I feel stronger, clearer, and happier than I have in a very long time.”
While Elizabeth and Borchert worked together at her Shannon Elizabeth Foundation in South Africa, which focuses on global wildlife conservation, she told Us her mission to help animals will not stop now that she’s single.
“When I started my charity in the U.S., it was called Animal Avengers. It was a dog and cat rescue that I founded in 2001. And this charity is just the next the next evolution of that,” she shared on Monday. “It’s the same nonprofit number. We just changed our mission.”

The Love Actually actress explained that she started it “on my own” so “nothing” will really change in the wake of her divorce.
“I [will] go forward and I mean, things are moving faster than ever,” Elizabeth said. “Now, actually, it’s like all of a sudden, things are actually happening and rolling, and it’s exciting to see.”
Elizabeth also confirmed that she will be staying in South Africa “for the most part” as she runs the nonprofit and creates OnlyFans content.
“My dog’s here, so it’s easier to travel [internationally] with your dog,” she told Us. “But I come over to the U.S. three or four times a year. I’m always in the U.S. or Canada or Europe, just depending on where the work is.”
