Plans to build a large Amazon warehouse in Gorham will be up for review by the town’s Planning Board on Monday night.
The delivery and tech giant aims to build a nearly 150,000-square-foot facility on 94 acres right off Main Street.
It’s the town’s first official public meeting on the plans. However, town residents have already spoken against the project.
Concerns include increased traffic and light pollution that may impact nearby neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Amazon has said the company is committed to being a good neighbor and the facility would bring around 175 jobs to the area and increase delivery service.
Monday’s meeting is at 7 p.m.
