
The Thomaston planning board gave approval April 21 to a $15 million to $20 million auto dealership on Route 1.
And the Board also gave unanimous backing to another food truck on the stretch of Route 1 near Rockland.
The Board approved New County Road, LLC’s (Jack Quirk of Quirk Auto) application to build a 31,000-square-foot dealership at 218-222 New County Road.
The estimated cost is $15 million to $20 million. The project is expected to be completed in the spring or summer 2027.
Sean Thies of the engineering firm of Haley Ward presented the plans on behalf of Quirk. Quirk currently has a local dealership on Camden Street in Rockland. The new one will replace the one in Rockland when the new one opens.
The Board approved approved the food truck called the Lobster Pot to be run by Stephanie Stone and Mark Crockett.
The Lobster Pot will serve lobster sandwiches and rolls. There will be picnic tables.
The Lobster Pot will be located to the right side of the Cannabis Cured building while The Zack Shack is located on the left, facing the property from Route 1.
