LeAnn Rimes says she’s “truly heartbroken” after she was forced to cancel upcoming concerts for unidentified health reasons.
“Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform this week,” Rimes, 43, announced via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 29. “I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled. Also, good news as we will be seeing you very soon.”
The “How Do I Live” singer was scheduled to perform Thursday, April 30, at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox in Spokane, Washington, and then Friday, May 1, at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Washington. Due to Rimes’ illness, she will now headline in Spokane Sunday, May 31, and in Seattle on Tuesday, June 2.
“I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness and continued support as I recover,” she wrote. “I look forward to being back on stage and seeing you very soon.”
Rimes’ health woes come just one month after she went viral with a video of her deep jaw release procedure.
On March 29, Human Garage and Rimes shared footage showing the 9-1-1: Nashville actress undergoing a so-called self-healing process designed by Garry Lineham. The 60-second clip featured Rimes grimacing as her jaw was physically reset with a doctor’s fingers in her mouth, before she burst into tears.
“You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned,” the caption explained. “The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress. When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck ‘locks’ to protect us. By using the maneuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.”
Rimes’ pain was so intense in the viral footage that some suspected it might not have been genuine. Rimes shut down the online speculation, telling Entertainment Weekly that she was definitely not in acting mode.
“The people were commenting on [the post], being [like], ‘Of course the camera was on, she was gonna cry,’” she said on April 20. “I’m like, ‘I can act, but I am not that good. I am not that good.’ I’m not Meryl Streep.”
Amid the social media discourse over her health, Rimes reflected on her 15th wedding anniversary with her husband, Eddie Cibrian, on April 23.
“We got to step away for 3 days amidst work and some very tense, heart wrenching things happening at home with family,” Rimes wrote via Instagram. “It’s been a different anniversary, one filled with tears and worry, but in between, there were moments of laughter and deep gratitude for this love of ours. day by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life.”

She went on, “God, I’m so grateful that it’s with each other. We’ve been through so much in our 15 years as husband and wife. We know how to ride the waves, hold each other in times of need, mend what needs mending. I’m so proud of what we have created together. 15 years is just the beginning.”
Rimes did not elaborate on what caused the “tears and worry” on her wedding anniversary. (Rimes and Cibrian, 52, got married in April 2011. The musician is a stepmom to Cibrian’s two sons — Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, — from his previous marriage to Brandi Glanville from 2001 to 2010. Rimes was married to dancer Dean Sheremet from 2002 to 2010.)
