The Storage Wars cast has mourned the deaths of some of their most beloved costars over the years.
Storage Wars, which premiered on A&E in 2010, follows professional buyers and their teams as they scour repossessed storage units in search of hidden – and potentially incredibly valuable — treasure. Over the years, the show has expanded into seven spinoffs.
Amid its success, the franchise has also weathered a slew of losses. Darrell Sheets, who appeared in 15 seasons of the show, died in April 2026 by apparent suicide. A spokesperson for the Lake Havasu City Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly that Sheets’s body was found in his home. He was 67. .
The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation,” the police said in a statement.

Police in Arizona later confirmed they are investigating claims that Sheets was bullied online before his death. In the weeks before his apparent suicide, Sheets had publicly named his alleged cyberbullies via social media.
After leaving the show, Sheets started his own business called Havasu Show Me Your Junk. The buyer, who was referred to as “The Gambler” on the show, was honored with an in-memoriam card.

Gunter Nezhoda
After a battle with lung cancer, Nezhoda died in 2023 at age 67.
“He passed away in his sleep, peacefully, from complications from lung cancer,” the reality star’s son, Rene Nezhoda, said in an Instagram video. “My dad, six months ago, was diagnosed with lung cancer. He had all kinds of holes in his lungs. There’s nothing else that doctors could do.”
Morris Prigoff
Following a six-year illness, Prigoff died in 2021.
Mark Balelo
The auctioneer died by suicide in 2013 at age 40. Two days before his death, Balelo had been arrested for an alleged drug-related offense.
