“[It’s] just absolutely the most lonely part of my existence is not having my sister in my life at the moment,” Hilary said during a CBS Mornings interview in February 2026. “[I] really struggled with including that on the record.”
She was referring to the song “We Don’t Talk,” which was released via Hilary’s 2026 record Luck … Or Something and details her relationship with Haylie.
“It’s hard because I am me, and people know everything about my life since I was a child,” she added. “I didn’t necessarily choose that part, but it’s my reality. It was honestly, like, healing to say.”
