Justin Bieber is officially in his comeback era after headlining the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The singer, 32, took the Coachella stage during the second day of the Indio, California, festival on Saturday, April 11, where his family was clearly front of mind.
âHailey, babe, hallelujah,â Justin sang during his performance of âEverything Hallelujah,â per social media footage. âBaby Jack, hallelujah.â
The Coachella cameras subsequently panned to Hailey Bieber, who married Justin in 2018, and she was seen blowing a kiss and waving to her husband. Hailey, 29, was even decked out in her spouseâs merch as she attended the gig with pals like Kylie Jenner.
Justin Bieber’s Ups and Downs Through the Years
Justin primarily performed tracks from his Swag and Swag II albums on Saturday, though did add a handful of nostalgic hits including âBabyâ and âIâm the One.â YouTube footage from his original music videos played on a screen behind Justin while he sang the tracks live.
âThank God he has Premium,â Katy Perry, who attended the festival with boyfriend Justin Trudeau, joked via Instagram on Saturday night. âI donât wanna see no ads.â
Justin will return to the main stage during the second weekend of Coachella, headlining again on Saturday, April 18. This year marks the first time he has performed his own full set at the festival, though he previously made surprise guest appearances with other artists, including Ariana Grande in 2019, Daniel Caesar in 2022 and Tems in 2024.
Justinâs Coachella performance is the latest stage of his musical comeback following the release of his seventh studio album, Swag, in July 2025 and its follow-up, Swag II, in September 2025. After his headlining gig was announced later that month, multiple sources exclusively told Us Weekly that Justinâs wife encouraged him to seize the opportunity.

âHailey was a big influence on Justinâs decision to headline Coachella,â one insider close to the couple revealed to Us in September 2025. âShe nudged him and is always in his corner hyping him up.â
Inside Justin Bieber’s Coachella Preparations: Setlist, Filming and More
Although Justin previously turned down offers to perform at Coachella, parting ways with Scooter Braun and releasing back-to-back albums without his former managerâs involvement factored into his decision to agree to the gig.
âHe feels this is the best way to share his new music with fans and is very excited about the opportunity,â the source said. âHe is more in control of his career. He doesnât have people making decisions for him anymore. Hailey assured him now is the best time and has been incredibly supportive.â
A second insider agreed, telling Us, âHailey was definitely the driving force behind Justin doing Coachella. As someone who grew up on his music, she always reminds him that heâs the Justin Bieber. She knows firsthand how much it means to his fans to see him back on stage, so she was like, âYou have to do this!ââ
Every Time Justin and Hailey Bieber Have Shared Glimpses of Their Son Jack
Coachella marks Justinâs first major concert since he canceled his 2022 Justice Tour due to health issues. (He went public with his Lyme disease battle in January 2020 and his Ramsay Hunt syndrome diagnosis â which left half of his face paralyzed â in June 2022.)
âJustin feels he is having a rebirth in this new era,â the first source shared. âHe isnât calling it a âcomebackâ but feels itâs a chance for fans to see a different side of him in this new chapter. He feels like heâs been given a second chance to redefine himself and finally step into the man he was always meant to be.â
Two months before Coachella, Justin notably performed at the 2026 Grammys, taking the stage in his boxers and socks to sing âYukonâ as Hailey, 29 â whom he married in September 2018 and shares son Jack, 19 months, with â cheered him on from the audience.
