Offset has been sued by a Detroit casino for allegedly not paying his $100K tab days after he was shot in Florida.
According to documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, April 8, the rapper (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) is being sued by the MotorCity Casino Hotel for breach of contract, fraud and more. The casino claimed that Offset opened a credit line of $100K with the establishment in March 2024.
The casino’s lawsuit claimed that they could not reach Offset to pay the alleged debt, so they attempted to take the money out of the musician’s account directly — an alleged agreement made when Offset opened the line of credit. The casino alleged that there was not enough money in Offset’s account to settle the debt.
In a statement to Us Weekly, a rep for Offset shared, “We are working toward a resolution.”
