Trump Mobile, an enterprise of President Donald Trump’s Trump Organization, went silent for months. Now, records show signs of life.
Trump Mobile launched in June 2025 with a cellular service plan and a custom gold “T1 Phone” that was initially slated to ship in August. But for those who placed their $100 pre-order, it never arrived. The company’s last social media post on any platform was Aug. 27.
But on April 6, the Trump Organization filed a trademark application for a mobile phone plan service for “The 47 Plan,” according to trademark attorney Josh Gerben. It came shortly after The Verge reported that the FCC certified a smartphone under the trade name “T1” in January, appearing to be the same one belonging to Trump Mobile.
“In this case, where you see the second round of filings being made around this idea of a mobile phone service, you see some movement at the FCC,” Gerben told USA TODAY. “You know, when you start connecting the dots … this appears to still be a very active thing that they’re trying to bring to market.”
Here is what we know about the Trump Mobile T1 phone.
When is the T1 Phone being released?
The Trump Mobile website currently says the phone will be released “later this year.”
Several requests for comment on the release date to Trump Mobile have not been answered since August. The most recent emailed request was sent on April 7.
Is the T1 phone by Trump Mobile for sale?
Trump Mobile phones are still available for pre-order for $100 as of April 7, and the website advertises the rest of the balance ($399) will be charged at the time it ships. However, the Verge reported earlier this year Trump Mobile executives said the product eventually brought to market would be more expensive.
The new trademark matches previously marketed ‘The 47 Plan’
The Trump Mobile network offers 5G service through “The 47 Plan,” available for $47.45 per month − a nod to Trump’s first and second terms. According to the Trump Mobile website, the service will include:
- Unlimited talk, text and data
- Nationwide coverage on U.S. networks
- Roadside assistance through Drive America
- International calling to 100 destinations
- Telehealth services, including mental health support and prescription discounts
Since launching, Trump Mobile has added “Renewed” Samsung and Apple phones for purchase on its website. One member of the T1 Phone launch team previously told Reuters the brand would later develop other devices.
