Derek Green found his happily ever after with Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt.
“It was always you 💍❤️♾️,” the couple wrote in a joint April 2026 post announcing their engagement. “‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.’ Romans 8:28.”
The couple also shared a series of snaps from their intimate proposal, where they were later joined by loved ones including her mother, Tavia Hunt, and her father, Clark Hunt, as well as Derek’s parents, Trent Green and Julie Green. The engagement came less than one year after Derek and Gracie went public with their relationship in May 2025.

Trent Green played 15 seasons in the NFL, most notably as a quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He tied the knot with wife Julie Green in 1997, and they welcomed kids Derek Green and T.J. Green.
Derek Green Graduated From Southern Methodist University
Derek Green received his bachelor of business administration degree in finances from Southern Methodist University. He was a three-year letterman as quarterback of the football team, according to his LinkedIn.

After playing football in college, Derek Green played in the European League of Football from 2023 to 2024 after graduating.
“Splitting time between Italy, France and Sweden, he was able to help grow the game across the globe. As captain of his team, Derek was also able to rally the community and work with local schools to share his passion while educating youths about the sport,” a post on his LinkedIn reads. “He continues to do so as a volunteer coach at his alma mater, Rockhurst High School.”
