The mom of a 1-year-old girl found dead in Milford still doesn’t have answers about what happened to her child three months after her death.
Eleanora Ray McLaughlin was found dead Dec. 28 at a home in Milford. No details about what happened have been released by law enforcement.
Maine State Police are investigating the death, spokesperson Shannon Moss said at the time. She said the investigation is ongoing as of March 12, and did not respond to a request for an update Friday.

“Absoltuetly nothing” has been happening with the investigation, the toddler’s mom, Erika Dupuis, told the Bangor Daily News on Friday.
She was told it would take six to eight weeks for further studies after an autopsy was completed. It’s now been almost 13 weeks since Eleanora died.
“I feel like they are hiding something or they just don’t care about answers,” Dupuis said. “I want to know what happened to my daughter and get justice for her, especially if my ex had something to do with it.”
Eleanora, her twin sister and an older brother were living with Dupuis’ estranged husband at the time of Eleanora’s death. He did not respond to a request for comment.
The toddler’s cause of death has not yet been determined, Office of the Chief Medical Examiner spokesperson Lindsey Chasteen said March 12. She did not respond to a request for an update on Friday.
A toxicology report has not been completed, Dupuis said. She said her mom calls the Maine State Police daily asking for an update on the investigation.
Dupuis had been in contact with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services in the days after Eleanora’s death, but she has not heard from them in weeks, she told the BDN. She lives in West Virginia and was not granted video visits with her surviving children.
Her mom was granted temporary custody of the two children, Dupuis said.
