Tori Spelling is not looking for love after her divorce from Dean McDermott.
“I am not dating,” Spelling, 52, told Us Weekly exclusively at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday, March 26. “It’s interesting, because that’s what everyone brings up, right? ‘You’re single now, oh, you have to date.’ My whole life, I’ve always been with somebody. I went from relationship to relationship. I never was, like, the dating person.”
Spelling told Us that she’s now in her “power era,” which means her career is coming first.
“I want to focus on building my empire, and then if a man comes around, he can fall in line,” she said, teasing that there is going to be a reality show announcement “soon.”

Spelling separated from McDermott in 2023 after 17 years of marriage. Us Weekly confirmed in November 2025 that their divorce was finalized.
“While we had our ups and downs and problems throughout our marriage, we had no problems throughout the divorce, which I think is a testament to the two of us and wanting to really step up and be there for the five humans we chose to create out of love,” Spelling said during an episode of her “MisSpelling” podcast after her and McDermott’s divorce was finalized.
The former couple share five kids: Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9. McDermott also shares son Jack, 27, with ex Mary Jo Eustace.
“We’re great coparents,” McDermott told Us in November 2025 of his “fantastic” relationship with Spelling. “We’re a united front. It’s all about the kids.”
McDermott told Us that he plans on continuing their family traditions together even if he and Spelling are not together.
“At the end of the day, we’re a family, right? And whether we’re together or not, I love Tori. I’ll love her for the rest of my life,” he added. “And she’s gonna love me for the rest of her life.”

McDermott said, “It just didn’t work out as a couple. But you know, we’re parents. We coparent together beautifully, and we love each other. So, you know, that’s a great formula for moving forward and solidifying and growing our family.”
Spelling previously discussed her divorce from McDermott with Us in December 2025, explaining that she’s been most proud of her kids throughout the entire process.
“I think it’s been a couple years of transition for my family, and I’m proud of their kindness and their empathy and that I’m raising really good humans,” she gushed. “I think when it’s all said and done, that’s what’s most important to me, is that they’re really good people and no matter what they go through — it might have been a hard year, it might be difficult, but you guys have good hearts and you’re going to be fine.”
