New video released by Idaho prosecutors shows quadruple killer Bryan Kohberger strutting into a DMV office in Washington in order to change his license plates.
The chilling footage was captured five days after Kohberger murdered four University of Idaho students.
The murderer is seen waltzing up to the counter on November 18, 2022, in the quiet office and casually talking to the clerk.
On November 13, 2022, Kohberger found his way into the Moscow, Idaho, home shared by college students Maddie Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, both 21, and couple Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin, who were 20.
He initially pleaded not guilty but later changed his plea to guilty to avoid the death penalty. Kohberger was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences and an additional 10 years for burglary.

The new footage shows Kohberger calmly asking for Washington plates. At the time of the murders, his car still had plates from his home state of Pennsylvania.
Prosecutors contend the new plates delayed his eventual apprehension.
The footage may be the only film we have of Kohberger interacting with someone who wasn’t law enforcement.
It seems the clerk had some sort of a San Francisco Giants souvenir at her desk, as Kohberger, 31, asks her about the team. She admits she follows the team, and Kohberger informs her he’s from “back east.” He then expresses his concern as a New York Yankees fan that slugger Aaron Judge, a Bay Area native, would be signing with the Giants following his tremendous 2022 season.
The pair continued discussing baseball, and he talks about his family originally being from Brooklyn.
They also discussed driving. “I really like it, though. I like how small and quiet [it is] and I would say safe,” he offered, “but the whole Moscow thing kind of makes it feel a little less safe right now.”
His sister, Mel Kohberger, broke her silence earlier this year, speaking to The New York Times.

“I have always been a person who has spoken up for what was right,” she said, adding that while she knew her brother to be socially awkward and at times abrasive, she never thought he would be capable of murder. “If I ever had a reason to believe my brother did anything, I would have turned him in,” she added.
His arrest came as such a surprise that she initially wondered whether it could have been a prank, especially since Mel noted that their family had been “so proud of him” and the progress he’d made in recent years. According to the outlet, Bryan was not only a PhD student but had overcome a major drug addiction at some point in his life.
