Below Deck Down Under‘s Daisy Kelliher and João Franco continue to grow closer after sharing a kiss.
In Us Weekly‘s exclusive clip from the Monday, March 23, episode of the Bravo series, Daisy asks João about his plans for after the season.
“I might just go back home, to be honest. I’ve split my time between Majorca and South Africa,” João replies, explaining how his future has changed since his split from his ex in “November of last year.”
Daisy asked João whether his ex was Spanish, to which João replied, “She’s German.” They then laugh about João’s interest in a variety of women.
‘Below Deck’ Cast Through the Years: A Guide to Who’s Dated Who
“It’s like going around the world. Have you dated an Irish girl?” she asks before João admits he hasn’t. The topic then changes to Daisy’s personal life as she explains she hasn’t had successful relationships due to “the kind of person” she’s attracted to.
“I like a d***head,” she quips. “I like secure people. Somebody who doesn’t find me difficult. Maybe intimidating. Maybe that’s the word, because it takes so long to break down my walls — or whatever I have going on inside of me.”
Daisy concluded: “I’d love to meet someone. I would love to have a family. But we’ll see.”
Before season 4 premiered, Daisy spoke to Us about her spark with João.
“It was a boat-mance. It was a brief thing on board that I seem to really love to do,” she said in January. “I seem to somehow make it part of my personality. It’s kind of a slow burn — I’m not even sure when it happens. It was further down this season and it wasn’t too deep. But it was a good time, and we were getting to know each other. It wouldn’t be a show if I’m not making out with someone.”
Daisy also spoke about working with Ben Robinson after rumors swirled about their onscreen feud.
‘Below Deck’ Franchise Couples That Got Together Outside of Their Seasons
“I went into the season taking no prisoners. I knew what I wanted. I didn’t want to be taken a fool, so I very much came in with that mindset,” she teased in November 2025. “Ben challenged me and he’s not easy to work with.”
Daisy still praised her time with Ben, telling Us that they ultimately found an amicable relationship.
“I think he also respected me. So I think I really evolved as a chief stew and as a person — and it wasn’t easy. I don’t like confrontation, but I need it. I was so sure about what I wanted to achieve,” she said. “I was like, ‘I am not letting any crew member get in the way of what I’m trying to do this season.’ We clash, and it’s work [drama]. Now, I was drinking with him at the bar.”
Below Deck Down Under airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
