Joseph Duggar made a rare appearance with his immediate and extended family nearly two years before his arrest.
Joseph, 31, joined his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, on a family vacation to Florida with several of his siblings, their children and spouses.
Jana Duggar shared a YouTube vlog from the trip in September 2025, noting that the vacation took place “shortly after” her 2024 wedding to Stephen Wissman.
“My husband and I joined my family for a beach vacation shortly after getting married,” Jana, 36, captioned her video. “It’s something we’ll never forget. Come along with us as we share the memories and fun from this special trip!”

Joseph was accompanied by his wife, Kendra Duggar, and their four children, as well as siblings Jeremiah Duggar, Josiah Duggar, Jedidiah Duggar, Jessa Duggar, John-David Duggar and their respective spouses and children. Younger unmarried siblings James, Jennifer, Johannah and Josie were also present. (Jedidiah’s wife, Katey Duggar, was pregnant at the time, meaning the trip took place before she gave birth to twin daughters Elsie and Emma in January 2025.)
“[It’s] starting to rain while we’re trying to get pictures, but we’re still doing it,” Jana noted in her vlog, sharing the family’s plans to take portraits on the beach. “There’s already a group up there [ahead of me] rushing to get them and, hopefully, we’ll get back before it’s pouring.”
Almost two years later, Joseph was arrested in Arkansas for unlawful sexual activity with a minor over an alleged 2020 incident.
“The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged 31-year-old Joseph Garrett Duggar for lewd and lascivious behavior,” a press release from local Florida law enforcement read. “Bay County investigators were contacted by a detective with the Tontitown Police Department regarding a report of past sexual abuse.”
According to the police report, an unidentified 14-year-old victim participated in a forensic interview and claimed that Joseph molested her during a trip to Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was 9 years old.
The victim also told the police that Joseph “eventually apologized for his actions” before the alleged incidents stopped.

“Investigators discovered the victim’s father confronted [Joseph] about these incidents on March 17th, 2026,” the police statement added. “[Joseph] admitted his actions to the victim’s father and to Tontitown Detectives.”
Joseph, who lives in Arkansas with Kendra and their kids, is currently awaiting extradition to Florida to face the charges. Neither the Counting On alum nor Kendra have publicly addressed the charges. (Us Weekly has reached out to a rep for the Duggar family.)
