We have a president and so-called secretary of war who, I believe, have committed moral atrocities that certainly rise to the level of international war crimes. The murder of unknown people clinging to a boat already immobilized by an attack is certainly a war crime. The insistence on a “warrior” ethos that rejoices in sending death and destruction from the skies without concern for civilian casualties, clearly leading to the wanton death of 150 or more children at a school in Iran is a disgrace and a war crime.
It seems clear to me that this war is not about regime change or humanitarian concern for Iranians, or to deter a nuclear threat, but to divert our attention from President Donald Trump’s crashing popularity, the false pretenses he used to be elected and his intimate association with Jeffrey Epstein.
Have you seen the recent photos of Tehran with thousands of angry citizens protesting the war and supporting their newly declared leader, the son of the ayatollah? With the murder of innocent children and civilians, I believe we have squelched any chance of a civilian uprising in support of western values and an overthrow of the leadership.
We have already spent billions of dollars on this war, not including the economic fallout.
Money that could have been used for health care benefits, child care, pre-K education and so much more. Reflect on the fact that the top 1% of the population owns more than 31% of the wealth and the lower 50% owns just 2.5%!
