Cythia Bailey isn’t sharing too many details about Robert Cosby Jr.’s funeral for “privacy” reasons, but she was in attendance to support friend Mary Cosby.
“It wasn’t filmed. There [were] no cameras anywhere, and people gave their phones,” Cynthia, 59, said during the Monday, March 16, episode of her “Humble Brag” podcast. “It just was a real private moment. I was really glad that I went. I was really, really glad that I went.”
Cynthia confirmed that she sent flowers to Mary, 53, after the death of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s son. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum explained on Monday that something about this loss really “resonated” with her, which is why she decided to attend Robert Jr.’s funeral.
“What really hit me hard [was], this is her one and only,” Cynthia explained. “When you just have one, it all goes into that one little human.”

Cynthia is the mother of 26-year-old daughter Noelle, whom she shares with Leon Robinson.
“When [Mary] said, ‘I would love you to come’ … I didn’t even think twice about it,” Cynthia continued. “I was really, really happy that I [went]. She really was just so happy to have us there. Her cast was so supportive. Those girls were there for her.”
She said the memorial was a “real” moment between the RHOSLC stars as they came together.
“I saw the love,” Cynthia recalled. “We do these shows, and it’s all this drama, and you have to be prepared to go up and down with these people, sideways, fall out, be cool. It’s just a different mindset when you have a relationship with women that you mostly met because of a show. But I love how it actually crosses over into a real sisterhood, too.”

She added, “The Housewives, we support each other on a different level when something happens to one of us, and I love that about Housewives.”
Us Weekly confirmed that Robert Jr., Mary and husband Robert Cosby Sr.’s only son, died at age 23 on February 23 following a suspected overdose. His funeral was held in Salt Lake City on March 7.
Cynthia said that Mary’s Faith Temple Pentecostal Church community also came out to show their support.
“This I will talk about. Their church? I need that church in Atlanta,” she said. “When I tell you we went to church. That funeral … we sang and danced and clapped. I don’t think we ever sat down. It was so spirited, so amazing.”
