We can debate about the state of the economy, the efficacy of tariffs, safety in the streets, the valence or stability of our relationship with other countries but there should be no debate about what drives our current president and his “Prime Minister” Stephen Miller.
I think they must wake up every morning with no other agenda than to create a world dominated by superpowers and run by fear and intimidation. Where winning requires a loser; coercion instead of cooperation is the key to success; empathy is viewed as a weakness; and the list of those who are considered outsiders or enemies grows larger and larger.
I believe there should be no quibbling about what drives these two “leaders”: meanness and greed. This plan requires no real work or care to create except “what’s in it for me and who can I get even with”?
What a way to run a life or a country.
