A Bangor man allegedly assaulted a child with a wooden dowel.
Henry Osei, 41, has been charged with domestic violence assault, according to Sgt. Jeremy Brock, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
Osei allegedly abused the child at a residence on State Street, where police conducted their investigation Thursday.
Osei and the child were household members, Brock said.
He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
