QUOTE OF THE DAY

“There is zero change.”

— Waterfront Concerts owner Alex Gray on an antitrust settlement between Live Nation and the U.S. Department of Justice. A federal fact sheet on the tentative agreement listed Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor as an asset that Live Nation would have to sell. However, while Waterfront Concerts has a booking agreement with Live Nation’s Ticketmaster, the concert giant does not own or control the venue, Gray said.

TODAY’S TOP STORIES

This bill would make it easier to renovate historic Maine properties. LD 435 has passed both the Senate and House and awaits funding from the Legislature’s appropriations committee.

U.S. Sen. Susan Collins reacted Wednesday to a report linking “Havana Syndrome” to Russia. The Sunday report from CBS News’ “60 Minutes” called into question intelligence agency statements that a foreign adversary is unlikely to be behind the condition.

Greater Bangor taxpayers are likely to pay more this year. Many of the rising costs stem from emergency services being more expensive and cost-of-living adjustments for employees.
