ROCKPORT — Midcoast Music Academy presents their inaugural faculty concert Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at Pascal Hall, located at 86 Pascal Ave. in Rockport.
Join MCMA as they turn the spotlight to celebrate the artistry and versatility of their faculty. The concert will feature faculty members Alyssa Kelly, Amelia Campbell, Amory Raymond, Dan Wenger, Evan Lattimore, Heather Beers, Jeff Densmore, Jen Feldman, Kate Fiano, Mark Power, Tom Luther and Zachary Bence, and include both solo and ensemble performances. The program spans a wide musical landscape, from fresh interpretations of classical pieces to original works to contemporary jazz funk, showcasing the depth of MCMA’s teaching artists. Admission is free, though a $20 suggested donation will support future student and faculty performances.
Founded in 2012, Midcoast Music Academy is a nonprofit contemporary music school where world-class teaching artists serve students of all ages and abilities. No student is ever turned away due to financial constraints, thanks to the tuition assistance program, which is primarily funded by small individual gifts from the community.
MCMA instructors are a close-knit group of professional musicians. While the school holds several student recitals and open mics throughout the year, this is the first concert to feature the faculty.
