
A Deer Isle man allegedly vandalized a Stonington market Sunday morning.
Mark Vallejos, 41, has been charged with aggravated criminal mischief and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Vallejos allegedly vandalized the storefront at Burnt Cove Market, as well as vehicles parked out front, causing thousands of dollars in damage, the sheriff’s office said Monday morning.
He reportedly brandished a gun before fleeing.
Police tracked him down to a residence in Deer Isle, where he was arrested overnight and taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth.
Vallejos was scheduled to be arraigned in Ellsworth later on Monday.
