HOULTON, Maine – Katahdin Trust, a local community bank that serves northern Maine and the greater Bangor and Portland regions, would like to announce that its employees have chosen to donate funds that they raised through the Bank’s Casual Because We Care program to Maine Farmland Trust.
“Choosing an organization is not easy,” said Natasha McCarthy, executive vice president, chief human resources officer. “There are so many worthy causes in the state of Maine, and our employees ultimately choose an organization that aligns best with the Bank’s values and mission.”
The Casual Because We Care program was designed to help Katahdin Trust employees give back to our local communities. By paying just $1 each Friday, employees have the opportunity to dress casually and give back.
“Community support is essential to protecting Maine’s farmland and supporting the farms in our communities. We’re so grateful to the employees at Katahdin Trust Bank for coming together as a community to make this generous donation to help grow a thriving future for farming in Maine,” said Stacy Brenner, president, Maine Farmland Trust.
