Authorities released new video footage of former WWE chairman Vince McMahon crashing his car into another vehicle while driving over 100 mph.
According to police dash cam footage obtained by The Sun on Friday, February 20, McMahon’s Bentley was swerving in and out of traffic before rear-ending a BMW in July 2025.
After colliding with the other car, McMahon’s vehicle hit the guardrail, subsequently scattering debris across the road. The Bentley continued to drive forward before pulling over near an exit ramp.
In additional footage obtained by the outlet, a Connecticut state trooper pulled over to speak to McMahon, 80. The officer asked McMahon if needed an ambulance, to which McMahon replied no. The trooper then asked McMahon why he was “driving over 100 mph.”

McMahon claimed he was headed to see his granddaughter for her birthday. The officer asked McMahon if he noticed that he was attempting to catch up to him before the crash. McMahon claimed that he was not trying to “outrun” the officer.
“You almost hit I think 115 miles an hour,” the officer said. “Then you just hit someone because you weren’t paying attention.”
The trooper asked if McMahon was on his phone while driving. The WWE personality claimed that no, instead he was simply “trying to drive.”
“I haven’t been driving my car in God knows how long,” McMahon added.
While giving the officer his license and registration, McMahon called himself a “stupid f***ing fool.”
The other driver involved in the crash was not injured, according to the outlet.
McMahon was driving on Route 15 near Westport, Connecticut, at the time of the crash. He was charged with reckless driving and following too closely, resulting in an accident.
A judge ruled in October 2025 that McMahon could enter a pretrial program if he made a $1,000 charitable contribution, per TMZ. McMahon can only drive if properly licensed and insured in the future. If McMahon completed the program, the charges against him would be dismissed in a year.
McMahon’s attorney, Mark Sherman, told the outlet that they were happy with the outcome.
“It was good news,” Sherman said at the time. “Not every car accident is a crime and the judge agreed he deserved this dismissal and we’re grateful for that.”
Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon Insists Hulk Hogan ‘Wasn’t Racist’
McMahon rose to fame as the CEO and Chairman of the Board for the WWE. In June 2022, he resigned from the organization after he was investigated for misconduct allegations.
“I have pledged my complete cooperation to the investigation by the Special Committee, and I will do everything possible to support the investigation,” he said in a statement at the time. “I have also pledged to accept the findings and outcome of the investigation, whatever they are.”
Two years later, he was accused of sexual assault, trafficking and abuse by a former WWE employee in a lawsuit. McMahon denied the allegations.
“This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself,” a spokesperson for McMahon told Us Weekly in a January 2024 statement.
