The FBI is releasing new details in hopes of identifying a potential suspect in the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s missing mom, Nancy Guthrie.

“Today, the FBI is increasing its reward up to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance,” FBI Phoenix shared via X on Thursday, February 12. “New identifying details about the suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie have been confirmed after a forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division.”

According to authorities, the suspect is described as a “male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.”

Since February 1, the FBI said they have collected over 13,000 tips from the public related to this case.

FBI Shares Video of Potential Suspect at Savannah Guthrie’s Mom’s Home

Nancy was last seen in Tucson, Arizona, on January 30 after spending dinner with family members.

According to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, a 911 call was made by Nancy’s family around 12:03 p.m. on February 1 after the 84-year-old didn’t meet up with friends to watch a church service virtually. Patrol arrived soon after and began search and rescue protocol.

Recently, FBI Director Kash Patel shared new surveillance photos taken on Nancy’s porches the night of her alleged kidnapping.

“Working with our partners — as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” Patel wrote via X on Tuesday, February 10. “Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit http://tips.fbi.gov.”

The images and accompanying video showed a person standing at the entry way of Nancy’s home wearing a ski mask and seemingly attempting to cover a camera.

“We believe she is still alive,” Savannah wrote via Instagram after the images were made public. “Bring her home.”

Since Nancy went missing, Savannah has been away from the Today show in New York to be closer to her family, which includes sister Annie Guthrie and brother Camron Guthrie.

Together, the siblings have pleaded with the public to help in the investigation and bring their beloved mom home.

“Our mom is a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light. She is funny, spunky and clever. She has grandchildren who adore her and crowd around her and cover her with kisses,” Savannah said alongside her siblings in an Instagram video posted February 4. “She loves fun and adventure. She is a devoted friend. She is full of kindness and knowledge. Talk to her and you’ll see.”

The NBC News journalist added, “Mommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman. You are God’s precious daughter, Nancy. We believe and know that even in this valley, He is with you. Everyone is looking for you, Mommy, everywhere. We will not rest.”

Hundreds of detectives and agents are working the case with President Donald Trump offering federal resources to the Guthrie family.

“We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely,” Trump, 79, said via Truth Social on February 4. “The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family.”
