Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton are addressing the revelations related to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as more documents are uncovered.

“I can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims,” a spokesperson for the couple said on Monday, February 9, as William, 43, began a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

William and Kate, 44, had not yet spoken about the Epstein files, which include information regarding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s connection to the disgraced financier. Earlier this month, Prince Edward became the first member of the royal family to address the scandal.

“Well, with the best will in the world, I’m not sure this is the audience that is probably the least bit interested in that,” the Duke of Edinburgh, 61, said at the World Governments Summit in Dubai on February 3 when asked how he was “coping” with the situation. “They all came here to listen to education, solving the future.”

New Epstein Files Reveal Prince Andrew Email About ‘Inappropriate Friends’

Edward added, “But no, I think it’s all really important always to remember the victims, and who are the victims in all this, a lot of victims in all this.”

Epstein died by suicide at age 66 in August 2019 while being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York. Last month, more than 100 photos were released from the Epstein estate, including three of Andrew, 65, with an unidentified woman.

The files also included an email sent by Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, to Epstein with an apparent crude reference to her daughter Princess Eugenie. The exchange, which took place in March 2010, began with Epstein asking when a contact named Sarah would visit him in New York City.

The reply read, “Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!”

In a separate email chain from January 2010, Sarah referred to Epstein as a “legend” and wrote, “I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.”

Inside Sarah Ferguson’s Relationship With Jeffrey Epstein

Andrew’s ties to Epstein have been making headlines since 2019, when the royal was accused of sexual assault by the late Virginia Giuffre. She sued Andrew in 2021 for sexual abuse, and the pair settled out of court. Andrew denied the allegations but was officially stripped of his royal titles last year.

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” read a statement from the royal family in October 2025. “His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”

The move came shortly after Giuffre’s memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was posthumously released with more details about her alleged encounters with Andrew and Epstein. (Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025. She was 41.)

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that [Andrew] continues to deny the allegations against him,” the royal family’s statement continued. “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
